Paul is our mechanical design engineer, here at MGS, and has served on the NATM Guidelines committee for the last 3 years. His engineering acumen, attention to detail, accuracy, and research skills have directly improved the quality of NATM’s Guidelines. Denver, PA (October2, 2014) – MGS Inc., has completed an acquisition of Maxey Companies, located in Fort Collins, Colorado. Maxey Co., in business since 1969, is well known for their sizable retail trailer sales and parts operation along with fleet truck fitting. Maxey is also known for it’s manufacturing of specialized trailers for both OEM’s and Public Utilities. This acquisition will provide MGS with increased regional manufacturing capacity, allowing the better servicing of national OEM and western Public Utility customers.

When asked about this acquisition, MGS President Andy Gehman stated, “This has been part of our long-term planning process. We are excited to complete this acquisition, and after working with Maxey Co. for years we know we have found our perfect match for manufacturing and trailer sales on the western side of the country”.

Carl Maxey, President of Maxey Manufacturing, had similar, positive thoughts, saying, “Maxey has been very close with MGS for years. We have similar goals and long-term plans, and I see nothing but great results by adding Maxey to MGS Inc. We have a large, loyal customer base in the greater Colorado region including the west coast, and I think they will benefit in many ways”.

Both parties are excited to have completed this detailed acquisition and look forward to maximizing the resources and build on the already established name that is Maxey – now a part of MGS Inc, in Fort Collins, Colorado!
